EVERY DAY COUNTS ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE

Empowering the Next Generation of Women Leaders Join the Movement; Be The Change

The Girls Equity Movement's mission is to igni2 Columnte transformative change by empowering young women with the essential networking, training, and leadership abilities required to make a lasting impact on the world. We strive to foster an environment where our participants can thrive, grow, and confidently pave the way for a brighter future for all.

THE PROBLEM

The Every Day Counts Attendance Challenge (EDCAC) is aimed at eliminating chronic absenteeism by raising awareness, using external motivation (ie. incentives) to improve the attendance rates of K-12 youth.

WHY DOES EVERY DAY COUNT?

Being present in class helps students enjoy success in their adults lives, from graduation to employment and beyond. Simply put – when students miss school, they lose valuable learning time. The purpose of EDCAC is to raise awareness and generate excitement for attending school by providing cash grants to students and their families.
